Jessica May is a Melbourne-based actor and storyteller who has built her career through grit, curiosity, and a genuine love of people and their stories. She trained at the University of Ballarat Arts Academy (Bachelor of Arts – Music Theatre) and later at 16th Street Actors Studio, where she continued to refine her craft.
Jessica works across theatre, musical theatre and screen, with credits including Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest, Pizza Man, Spicks & Specks, and the Horrible Histories: Awful Egyptians Australian tour. Her training and experience span Shakespeare, contemporary drama and musical theatre, and she brings both emotional intelligence and strong musical instincts to her work.
Drawn to characters with depth and vulnerability, Jessica is particularly interested in the quiet moments that reveal who we really are. Whether performing with her rock cover band, stepping into a period role, or exploring raw emotional truth in rehearsal, she brings heart, humour, and a strong work ethic to every project.
Above all, Jessica is passionate about storytelling that connects—work that allows audiences to feel seen, understood, and a little less alone.
