About

Ellen is an award-winning actor, physical performer, puppeteer, movement coordinator/consultant working in theatre, film, t.v, large scale & site specific performance, as well as facilitating workshops for artists, teachers and young people across the country.

A graduate of QUT's Acting Program, Ellen also received government sponsorship from Australia Council for the Arts and Arts QLD to undergo professional training at LISPA (Berlin), and with internationally acclaimed UK physical-theatre companies Frantic Assembly and Complicité - broadening her skills in physical performance, devising and puppetry.

Throughout her career Ellen has had the pleasure of working with multiple state and independent companies including Queensland Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, La Boite, Shake & Stir, Legs on the Wall, Dead Puppet Society, Andrew Kay & Associates and QPAC. On screen, she has also appeared on Home and Away (Channel 7), Harrow (Hoodlum), Bloody Hell (Boi To Hel Films) and Clubland (Goalpost Pictures).

Ellen is a teaching artist with over 15 years of teaching, she facilitates workshops and is passionate about curating experiences that are inclusive, creative, empowering and accessible for all ages, ability & skill level.

Ellen has previously been engaged at Queensland Theatre as both a Senior Teaching Artist and a mentor to emerging artists participating in the Teaching Artist Program.

She is also a Movement Consultant/Coordinator - offering expertise in physical direction, devising, and choreography.
